In your origins smp body swap tommy is causing problems on purpose as who?

Oh! I was just throwing the ideas out there for anyone to use buuuuuut if I WERE to make my own au of it I’d totally have Tommy end up as Charlie, I was considering Jack Manifold till I remembered Tommy would definitely just cause arson as a Blazeborn and Slimecician is honestly funny enough as it is that I’d want him to end up as it. He would 100% spend the first ten minutes bouncing confusedly and end up hiding in the walls of Wilburs house the first time he gets hit (and shrunk), there is screaming involved.

Also just his confusion over Charlie’s lil slime-like buddies on his shoulders and head, him marveling over what it feels like to be slime, getting annoyed by Charlie’s need for glasses, and realizing how LITTLE endurance Charlie actually HAS would lowkey be amusing, once he starts to get his bearings he realizes what he can do and starts being a little THIEF until whomever ends up in Wil’s body catches him on accident while trying to cause their OWN crimes (Probably Jack kskfkxmdkxn)

rubbing my grimy hands together!! I have so many recs for all of these fandoms hehe >:3. this is gonna be long sorry in advance.

dream smp/origins smp:

orphan's path is probably the greatest fic ive ever read in any fandom straight up. techno and phil centric, covers their entire backstory & many of the events of the dream smp while feeling new and interesting the whole time. INCREDIBLE worldbuilding, excellent interpretation of redza.

bishop's knife trick by bovinedaemon. ran and jackie, from that one tales from the smp in the Pit, taken far beyond their logical conclusion. and i love them so much. every character in this is wonderfully fleshed out given that the original stream they're all from was like 3 hours and mostly comedy.

marshmellowite's pilot license 'verse. a long dark au with a focus on borealtrio. loving the character dynamics in this a lot---techno and phil, already well established as friends, bringing ranboo into the fold. tubbo also started showing up in recent chapters and he's already excellent. i don't know anything about the long dark but boy do i love this au!

my mirror my sword my shield by bunterasu. a tubbo and ranboo focused au where tubbo is the new prince of a kingdom currently run by jschlatt. he learns that sbi used to be the king & princes of the kingdom, and essentially have to find them and help them restore their glory while escaping schlatt. there's a lot of fun cameos from many other characters in here too (personal favorites of mine are george and quackity). bun has a really cool writing style that gets a lot of information across really succinctly; this au is kinda dense but makes sense to read comfortably.

there's a reason these feathers are barbed by emjay_panziku. this au is very fucked up (lot of gore, body horror, etc; check the tags!!!) in a way that is RIGHT up my alley. techno and phil centric, about a world where everyone becomes some eldritch horror creature & very few people retain their state of mind. techno and phil are two of those people who mostly stay themselves, and the fic follows them fucking around in the city. tubbo and wilbur are also here in later chapters!! again emjay is a favorite author of mine, very cool style.

literally everything findingkairos has written. but especially "oh dear, can you see me?" (age swap au between phil and techno, in an au where phil is still known as the angel of death because he's been taken advantage of for his murder skills by a feudal lord. techno rescues him.) and "the fire sermon" (phil and techno eldritch gods WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!)

I would be remiss if I didn't mention i wanna hear it's alright by bunflower. phil and techno centric fic full of whump one shots. I have no way of confirming this for sure but I was in the fandom at the time and I'm like 90% sure bun was the one who really started the emerald duo craze, and for good reason. beautiful gorgeous wonderful amazing interpretation of phil and technos friendship, edging into a qpr. im an Emerald Duo Enjoyer™ now and this fic (and buns discord server lol) pushed me most of the way there.

remember me for centuries by gracefulleopard. so you know the tales from the smp episode where ran and jackie are from. yeah what if phil and techno were here and they were immortal and phil was rescuing techno from the pit and it was set in the far future? this is exactly what i wanted that tales episode to be. big love for this fic. leo has a lot of other good stuff too!!!!

the revolutionary experience of joy by anarchy_schmanarchy. this is the c!Niki Bible. i absolutely love c!niki and this fic did her so much fucking justice. it focuses on her after joining the syndicate and learning to be happy again. i literally don't have any more words other than: read this. it still dictates how I think about c!niki a year later.

rising with the harvest by renvember. techno as the god of blood and harvest, phil as his lifelong friend/angel of death, and ranboo as literally just some guy who's just wandered into the middle of all this. a heavy focus on techno's godhood and how he respawns. also some egg stuff in later fics in the series.

the inner mechanism of a black box by bee_4. the prison, if it was meant for techno; how he deals with isolation. this... I have not stopped thinking about this fic since I read it. it's inspired some of my original fiction. wonderful wonderful fic. im probably gonna end up putting some of bees newer hermitcraft stuff in this post too. they're a really cool author.

open flame by lu_marii. confession: I am one of the creators of this au. that being said it's still a really good au that I think about all of the time. basically, it's sbi centric. tommy, an avatar of the god of chaos, is raised by dream and his cult. he goes into foster care and ends up getting put with sbi, who all are also some flavor of magical creature/god/avatar/whatever. idk if lu is ever intending to finish this fic but. BOY is it good. puts the brainrot in me.

godsend for piety by swordsoup. origins smp. phil and tommy get kidnapped by hybrid hunters, and the other members of the smp call for help. techno shows up, as phils oldest friend, and saves him. a touch of eldritch god!techno for flavor.

hermitcraft/trafficlight:

still the echoes give us light by doctortrekkie. really cool interpretation of watcher lore as well as how the trafficlight series could be canon to hermitcraft. personal favorite work in the series is "the pines," which is pearl centric and one of the things that made me fall in love w her character.

and they were roommates by beans_mcgee. ren and doc centric au where doc is a supervillain and ren is a stressed college student who needs to cut down on rent. love love love this fic it has such a wacky premise and beans has a wonderful writing style that lends itself greatly to wacky premises taken seriously (their dsmp fics are also really good idk if i got them on this list)

hound's tooth by silverskye13. this one... this one hits different. also doc-centric, focusing on what it would be like if 3rd and last life were canon to hermitcraft, as he essentially feels like he's watching ren destroy himself. i love this take on creeper!doc so so so much. read this in one sitting at 3am, and i intend to repeat the experience at one point. made me lose my mind (complimentary supreme).

dog at the door by fluffy_papaya & iamsolarflare. I think this already got recced on this post so I'll keep it brief but. this fic gave me ren and doc brainrot to the fullest degree.

the continued adventures of the boatem roadtrip by bee_4. boatem has a totally normal one in the void under the world haha. nothing is going wrong. this fic is a really cool case study of what happens when you shove 5 utterly deranged people in a room together for several months and don't let any of them leave, if there were also eldritch influences. top tier boatem fic.

fallen pines by slashmagpie. s8 impulse meets a ghost who is very friendly and there are no problems (ominous). really good slow burn of impulse definitely for sure not getting possessed at all (even more ominous).

highasaflyingfish's montaurk au. the hermits are a gang in a prison/mining colony dug deep into the earth. grian is a recently convicted criminal who ends up here and ends up completely accidentally making friends with mumbo, iskall, and the other hermits. TOP tier world building. i love this fic a lot and find myself staring at it waiting for it to update. it's unique in the way where i really wish it wasn't because I want more of it.

how to be a human being by doctorletmebebrave. season 8 hermitcraft, focuses on what happens to mumbo after he eats grian's soul. watcher lore canon!! i just really like mumbo and grians dynamic in this fic they're so funky :). basically this is an accidental soulmate au

anywhere we want by jumpinginmuddypuddles. human mumbo is trying to help avian grian find medical help after getting injured. the rest of the hermits are a reclusive group of hybrids who don't trust humans whatsoever. i am also staring at this one waiting for it to update.

Consider: Tommy swaps bodies with Nikki and just yells how annoyed he is at the fact he's stuck in the water

No matter who Tommy gets swapped with it’s a HOOT that’s for sure, no swap can save anyone from his thinly veiled confusion and displeasure

He keeps popping out of the water to holler about it until he runs out of bubbles (reverse breathing lol) and diving back down to take a breath just to pop back up, it sounds VERY weird to everyone to hear Tommy’s complaining in Nikki’s voice even to him when he accidentally hits a high note, he eventually switches gears when he fully processes that he’s never actually SEEN the terraforming Nikki’s done under the water and no ones really listening to him complain at this point anyways, being preoccupied with their own body swap situations

So he dives down to check it out and once Nikki realizes where he’s probably gone she just hopes he doesn’t fuck anything down there up too much. He DOESNT but he does set a few surprises (pranking traps) and scrambles around her chest organization for when they all swap back for her to find and also figures out a way to braid her much longer hair cause it keeps annoying him by getting in his face. He reappears like 2 hours later in Wilburs haunted house and manages to scare the crap out of Jack -who was leaning against the glass- and continues letting everyone know EXACTLY what he thinks about this whole situation, abeit slightly muffled

He’d totally think the feel of scales, fins, and sharp teeth is actually kinda cool but he would NEVER admit it outloud, claiming that feathers still rein supreme in the field of awesomeness. His usual floaty-ness actually means he gets a hang of Nikki’s swimming abilities super quickly and finds ways to stay with everyone else despite being waterbound

There’s also a good chance of him biting someone if they tap the glass cause ‘OH THERES ACTUALLY A REASON SHE ASKS US NOT TO DO THAT, KNOCK IT OFF’

Slime!Wil pokes fun at Mer!Tommy whole in smol forme a little too close to the waters edge and Mer!Tommy quickly decides its much easier (and safer) to just grab and and throw Charlie’s body than he ever could/would to Wilbur normally. Slime!Wil makes a shocked squeaky toy noise when Mer!Tommy grabs him out of surprise and just full blown fucking SKIPS him like a bouncing ball on steroids

You just hear a small distant *boing boing boing*, a very loud “HA!!” In Niki’s voice and Wilbur yelling in Charlie’s usual voice in tune with his bouncing

Avian!Niki and Merling!Tommy both just staring at a piece of Cooked Chicken having VERY different mental breakdowns over the concept of eating it

Phantom!Jack Manifold forgetting that he’s not only not fireproof anymore as Wilbur but fiery allergic to the sun and nearly burning Wil’s hair off much to Slime!Wilburs chagrin and terror

FM!Ranboo gets stuck on the mining post bc he was trying out Schlatts arachnid abilities and forgot he couldn’t just safely teleport down afterwards, he also manages to get his new horns stuck in the wood somehow and Elytrian!Tubbo and Ender!Phil have to come help him down

FM!Ranboo and Phantom!Jack Manifold getting to experience rain properly for the first time ever while Ender!Phil and Blaze!Charlie take cover and Mer!Tommy tries out running around on land in Nikki’s body

Blaze!Charlie, Avian!Niki, and Slime!Wilbur just having a whole Nether hangout day so Niki can finally explore the Nether, Shulk!Schlatt joins them at one point to find out the real smell of different Nether blocks and also to fill Tubbos Shulk with Lava Buckets. Slime!Wilbur takes the opportunity to see what’s stronger: Charlie’s slime bounce or Tubbos shulker skin. Blaze!Charlie gets to watch Himself go flying into a wall due to the answer ultimately being Tubbo

Mer!Tommy get haggled into letting Avian!Niki do up her body’s much longer hair after Tommy attempts to tie it up himself and nearly haphazardly knots it up, Phantom!Jack Manifold gets SEVERAL pictures for blackmail and Mer!Tommy learns that maybe having your hair played with isn’t that bad (not that he’ll admit that to anyone besides Niki)

Phantom!Jack Manifold has to pin back Wil’s hair for his own sanity cause he isn’t used to having bangs

FM!Ranboo finally gets Revenge by Pumpkin, aka him and Phantom!Jack team up to annoy Ender!Phil and Mer!Tommy with invisibility shenanigans as payback

FM!Ranboo gets the first pumpkin stuck to his head thanks to Schlatts horns though, he just can’t get used to them

It’s takes literally everyone to make sure Elytrian!Tubbo doesn’t just full-out launch himself off a cliff before actually figuring out how to fly with Phil’s wings, Phil can just SEE Tubbo debating jumping off every high area he can see and can TELL cause that’s HIS face

It is wildly disconcerting to see Tommy and Tubbos expressions on Niki and Phil’s faces, it’s even weirder to see Schlatt and Ranboos expressions on Tubbo and FM respectively

Slime!Wilbur gets play-hit and proceeds to lose his fucking mind over suddenly becoming like a foot tall, he kinda forgot that was something Charlie DID and now he understands why Charlie always calls for help with mobs it’s actually SCARY, he makes a mental note to open a small enough area in his haunted houses basement for Charlie to hide in (and maybe make a few other safe hidey holes) after they all swap back

Mer!Tommy finds a chest Niki’s made of everything everyones ever absentmindedly thrown in the lagoon and proceeds to use everything in it to both become a nuisance and dig several tunnels super close to everyone else’s houses, Niki finds them after they swap back later on and actually thanks Tommy for making them

Would Phil joke that Tommy is his daughter? Yes. Yes he would.

In a surprising turn of events Elytrianl!Tubbo utilizes being in Phil’s body to make a million ‘I’m older than you now’ jokes and calling everyone his kids is one of them, Ender!Phil, Blaze!Charlie, and Mer!Tommy end up getting it the MOST for obvious reasons

Ender!Phil tries to call Mer!Tommy his daughter (1) one time and Tommy nearly manages to pull him into the water in annoyance, momentarily forgetting that Ranboos body can’t DO WATER, griping about how Phil and him are technically similar ages now the entire time

I’m assuming you meant Schlatt and got autocorrectblocked lmao, I think it’d be super funny if he ended up in Tubbos body because 1) Everyone draws Shulker!Tubbo pretty Smol and Schlatt would 100% poke fun at Tubbos height so it’s a taste of payback and 2) he’s Fragrance Man and Fragrance Man can’t smell at ALL normally and Tubbos Shulker is FILLED TO THE BRIM with different types of flowers so I think it’d be funny if he goes through it and has a blast smelling all the flowers

Wilbur!Jack Manifold and Fragrance Man!Wilbur team up after they get their bearings from swapping to record everything going on but Jack gets stuck invisible for a bit so there just a confused floating camera and a wheezing crime ram for the first few minutes, Jack records Tommy (who swapped into Slimesicle in my version lol), Phil!Tubbo, and Manifold!Charlie (gotta keep an eye on his own body) While FM!Wilbur records Ranboo!Phil, Nikki!Ranboo, Tubbo!Schlatt and Tommy!Nikki

Chaos ensues once Jack figures out how to control the whole Phantom invisibility thing and his recordings mostly become just him fucking with Tommy by popping into existence and watching Tommy scream and jump in surprise, which turns into Slimesicle!Tommy just bouncing all over the place because slime uncontrollably go boing
